Nominations, with entrance money, received up to Tuesday, 2 1st May ; handicap declared Wednesday, 22 nd May. s 2. Hack Hurdle Race of 5 soys ; i mile over four flights of hurdles. Entrance,' 10s. Post entry. ' 3. Handicap Hurdle Race of 15 soys; about 1^ miles, over six flights of hurdles. Entrance, 1 soy. For all horses that have never won an advertised race of 20 soys up to date of nomination. Nominations, with entrance money, received lip to Tuesday, 21st May, weights to be declared immediately after the first race. 4. Novel R_ cc of 5 soys ; about 1 m. \ Entrance, 10s. Conditions: Each jockey to ride another's horse ; the last horse past the post to win the stake. The race must be run under 5 minutes. Weight 9 stone or under, no whip or spur to be used. Post entry. 5. Handicap District Plate of 20 soys ; about lj miles. Entrance, 1 soy. Conditions same as No. 3 ; horses to be owned by bona fide residents o! the districi. Handicaps declared as soon as possible after No. 3 hurdle race. Entries to be mada up to May 21st. 6. Handicap Trotting Rack, of 10 soy. ; 2 miles. Entrance 15s. Nominations, with entrance enclosed, to be made on or bafore Tuesday, May 21st, handicap to be declared May 22nd. 7. Pontßacb, of 5 soys; once round tre course. Entrance, 10s. For all ponies uuder 14 hands. Post entry. RULES : General entries, Tuesday, 21st May, at 9 o'clock p.m. There must be three entries for each event or no prize will be given. All nominations must be made in writing, and sent in sealed covers, addressed to . the Secretary, Nelson Hotel, Nelson, containing entrance money, description and age of horse, and colors to be worn by jockeys. No antry will be received unless upon the distinct understanding that the decision of the Stewards, or whoever they may appoint, shall in all cases be final, and all law proceedings barred. ALEX.
