The Taranaki arrived at Wellington at 8.30 last night.

The schooner May is again to be put into commission, and is now being fitted up. The schooner Clio left Wellington for Wailapu on Wednesday.

The TJno sailed for Wellington last evening with a load of timber.

The Lyttelton left Blenheim for Nelson at nine o'clock this morning, and will arrive here to-morrow morning. The Charles Edward arrived from Wellington at 4-30 p.m. yesterday, and sailed for the West Coast with the San Francisco mail at 10 p.m.

The Kennedy is still detained at Greymouth, where she reports a heavyfsea on the T>ar, and no indications of any channel whataver.

The Wallace arrived from Wanganui this morning. She sails for the West Coast on Sunday at 4 p.m.

The Murray left Wellington for New Plymouth at six o'clock last evening. She returns from the latter place direct to Nelson, and may be expected here either to-morrow Or Sunday.

Now that the wind is shifted the schooner Richard and Mary, from Oamaru ought to show up.

The Wakatipu, which arrived at Wellington from Sydney yesterday, brings 240 passengers, 160 of whom are Chinese.

The Maori, on her periodical trip round the Middle Island, was to leave Dunedin yesterday. She will be due here on Sunday. The topsail schooner Maid of Otago is expected from Oamaru shortly with a cargo of flour for Mr Levien.

The Hinemoa, with the Southern portion of the San Francisco mail, did not arrive at Wellington until this morning. The Tasso is rapidly landing her cargo, and probably to-morrow will see her with a clean hold. She will then take in ballast and sail for Newcastle at once.

The Ringarooma leaves Wellington this evening, will arrive here to-morrow about midday, and sail for Wellington, South, and Melbourne by the same tide at 2 p.m. The Ocean Bird, bound from Waitapu to Wellington, put into Wellington on Tuesday. She resumed her voyage on the following day.

The schooner Awaroa arrived from Wanganuithis afternoon too late to catch the tide, and consequently came to an anchor. She will come into harbor at low water this evening

The Taiaroa leaves Lyttelton to-day, and Wellington to-morrow at noon. She' will arrive here early on Sunday morning, and sail for Taranaki and Manukau at 3 o'clock in the afternoon.

The Wellington arrived from Picton and Wellington at 1.30 p.m. to day, having left the former port early this morning. She returns to the same ports at 11 a.m. tomorrow.
