To the Editor op the 'Evening Ma.il.

Sir,—Will you kindly allow me asmaU space in your columns to say a few words about the roads in the Moutere. As I was travelling on the Moutere Hills on Tuesday I observed both on the Nelson and Moutere: sides of the hill a great alteration in the roads, for which I think the Board deserves credit, but I went up to Mr Koss's, and on returning from there the following day got stuck in his ford in Rising Sun Valley, and not only myself but several others have got fast there lately. I should be obliged to the' Motueka Board if they could show me another way to Mr Ross's land. E. Je&ltsian.
