The Kennedy leaves Greymouth. to-day for Westport and Nelson. The Charles Edward arrived at Wellington early this morning, and leaves to-night on her return trip. The Awaroa is rapidly filling up with cargo, and will sail for Wanganui at 3 p.m. to-morrow. The Taranaki left New Plymouth this morning at nine o'clock, will arrive here this «vening, and sail for Wellington and South by the same tide at midnight. The Richard and Mary came into harbor at low water last evening, and this afternoon was berthed alongside Franzen's Wharf. We understand that Mr Page, of Waitapu, has purchased the topsail schooner Clio from Messrs Brogden for the sum of £650 She will be employed in the timber trade between Waitapn and Wellington. The Wellington arrived from Picton and Wellington this afternoon at 3-30. She leaves for the same ports on an excursion trip at 3 p.m. to-morrow. Plenty of opportunities of visiting Cooper and Bailey's circus and menagerie at Wellington will be afforded to the public. We notice by an advertisement in another column that the Anchor Liner Kennedy will make an excursion trip to the Empire City for the above purpose, leaving here on Sunday evening, and returning on Tuesday night. This morning we were shown a miniature full-rigged ship enclosed in an ordinary medicine bottle, the wo^k of one of the sailors of the barque Celestial Queen, which was here lately. The ship is in tow of a little tug-boat, both of which have been got through the mouth of the bottle, but how this has been done we do not profess to know. This piece of ingenuity may be seen at the Albion Hotel, the Port, together with a barque inserted inside a bottle about the Bame size. The Anchor Liner Murray, Captain Conway, arrived in harbor this morning at 1030 with a full cargo and a number of passengers. She left here on Monday at 730 p.m., and experienced strong S.E. winds, which compelled the steamer to go through the Sound; arrived at Wellington at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, and sailed for Nelson at ten o'clock last night; experienced fine weather during the passage across, and arrived here as above. The Murray sails for West [Coast ports with the San Francisco mail at 6 a.m to-morrow.
