Messrs Patterson and Co. sold to-day by auction a number of pure-bred Berkshire pigs from 9s to 11s each; 200 legs of mutton from Wanganui fetched Is 3d each; quarters of lamb brought from 2s to 3s 9d; fresh butter, 8»d to 9->d; kerosine, from 2s 3d to 23 lOd per gallon. A large quantity of other goods was disposed of at satisfactory rates The property fronting Wellington, Oxford, and Gloucester-streets, advertised for sale was knocked down for £150. The attendance was large.
