To tiie Editor or the 'Evening- Mail.' Edwards and Kerr v. Wiesenhavern . Sir,— On perusal of your report of this case, published in your issue of last evening, we wrote you asking for the name of the person who furnished it. We understand that you hold yourself responsible for the letf.fii-s, and that the defendant's solicitor, Mr Bimny, supplied you with the report of the evidence. The statements iv Mr Wiesenhavern's letter are of a scandalous nature, and such as he dare not publish himself, except under the shelter of a report of judicial proceedings. We therefore think it right to inform the public that the letters published are not the copies of the originals, and that the evidence is also incorrectly reported to the prejudice of our clients. We hold the original of Mr Wiesenhavern's letter 'and a press copy of our own. — Yours, &c, Adams & Kingdon, Plaintiffs' Solicitors. Nelson, March 21, 1878.
