Sydney, Monday. The Rev. Mr Allen. Baptist minister, held forth yesterday in Hyde Park against Catholicism. Fifteen thousand people assembled, and a sectarian riot being; feared, one hundred of the police force were present, and the military were ready to be called out. Twenty feet of the keel of the Cbimborazo is gone, but it is believed the steamer can easily be brought to Syduey for repairs. Melbourne, Monday. There have been heavy floods in the Yarra. •Great damage is done, and the Melbourne water supply has been cut off inconsequence of the flood. The damage to the Plenty Bridge aqueduct from the Yan Yean wi be repaired within a week.
