The Lodge of Instruction, Southern Star Lodge, postponed from last evening, will be held to-night at eight o'clock. The Sau Francisco mail arrived at Auckland yesterday afternoon, twenty-four hours in advance of her due date. We understand that Mr Parmenter'snarue was struck out of the list of those against whom the police had decided to lay information in connection with last Fridays's affair. The Raphael family of gymnasts will appear at the Choral Hall, Wakefield, this eveniug. A cricket match between the Motueka and Spring Grove Clubs will be played at Motueka on Saturday next. The Tadmor assault case of which mention was made 3'esterday, has occupied the Court the whole day, and was not nearly concluded when we went to press. The summary of the evidence as giveu by the counsel in their opening speeches will be found elsewhere. Mr. D. M. Luckie headed the poll in the election of an Education Board in Auckland last week.
