The Lyttelton leaves Wellington to-night for Nelson via Blenheim.

The Wallace sails for Wanganui at seven o'clock this evening. The Albion will be due at Hol'Uika tomorrow.

The Lady Barkly arrived from her weekly trip to Golden Bay last evening. The Nelson was lying at Waitapu when the Lady Barkly left yesterday. The Wellington sailed for Wellington Bhortly after ten o'clock last evening with Ihe Taiaroa's passengers and cargo. The Dido has been lifted upon the docks at Haulashore Island, and operations will be commenced forthwith.

The Taranaki leaves Wellington to-night, will arrive here to-morrow morning, and sail for Taranaki and Manukau by the same tide ftj 1 p.m.

The Taiaroa came off the hard late last evening, and was berthed alongside the Commercial Wharf. She will sail for Picton and Wellington to-morrow at noon.

The Alhambra is expected here on Sunday morning, and is announced to sail for Melbourne via West Coast ports at noon on Monday.

_ For the last two or three days the spring tides have risen to a great height, and to-day it was almost as high as ever. This indicates that there have been some strong winds blowing outside.

The Luna hauled off the gridiron late last evening. While on the slip she was subjected to a thorough cleaning, and when this Wa3 done received a coat of tar as high up as the water line. The Luna has been painted all over, and looks none the worse for it. She sailed for Westport aud Greymouth at noon to day.

Thep.s. Charles Edward, Captain Whitwell, arrived alongside the Albion Wharf at 6.30 last evening. She reports leaving Nelson on the 15th inst.at 8.40 a.m., experienced strong S.W. wind to Westport, arriving at 8.15 a.m. on the 16th; left again at 0 p.m. same day, with heavy S.W. swell, arriving at Hokitika at 9.30 a.m. on the 17th; left agaiu at 9 - 46 a.m. on the 18th, with smooth sea, arriving at Greymouth at 12.30 same tide; left again at 12.30 p.m. on the 19th, with five weather, arriving at Westport at 9.30 p.m. on the same day; left agaiu at 11.40 a.m. on the 20th, experienced strong N.W. wind increasing to a gale off Rocks Point, and very thick ■weather with heavy downfalls of rain until off Cape Farewell when it lulled, from thence light N.W. until arrival here as above. The Charles Edward left again for Wellington shortly after 7 p.m., and arrived there this morning at 11 o'clock. She will leave tonight, arrive to-morrow, and sail on Monday for West Coast ports.
