The Right Reverend William Williams, who lately resigned the Bishopric of Waiapu, in consequence of failing health, and was succeeded by Bishop Stuart, died at Napier on Sturday night last, in the 79th year of his j age. The deceased prelate was a man of a i most amiable character, devoted to the duties or hia sacred calling, and waa deservedly held in high esteem by both the Native aud European population of his diocese. He was educated at Magdalen Hall, Oxford, where he graduated in 1824. He came out early to this colony as a missionary, and in 1852 became Archdeacon of Waiapu, and in • 1859 Bishop of that See. He waa a good classical and Maori scholar, and was the author of a "Dictionary of the Maori Language," published in 1039, and a second edition in 1852, of Chritianity among the New Zealanders," published in 1867, and of other works. The German estimates for 1878 show a deficiency of nine million dollars. It will be pleasiug for our readers to know taai after so many ages of blundering and torturing in the name of science and skill, the time as at last srrived when all who are suffering from maladies which were supposed to be incurable, such as Gout, severe chronic Rheumatism, diseases of the Liver, Stomach, Chest, &c, can now be completely cured and eradicated by the timely use of the marvellous Indian Medicines known as "Ghollah's Great Indian Cures." sold by all Chemists. Testimonial.— Motueka, Nelson Dec. 13, 1876. To Mr R. Hadfield, Agent for Ghollah's Great Indian Cures. Sib.— l have been a great sufferer for the last fourteen years from Gout, and have been under medical treatment without receiving any good result. I had a very severe attack about a month ago, and was induced to try Ghollah's Gout Mixture, and assure you the effect was almost like magic. The medicine seemed to go to the part affected at once, and after taking half the bottle I was entirely free from pain, but still continued with the medicine until I had taken two bottles— fearing a return of the malady. lam now completely cured, and able to work as well as ever I could. I wish to bear my testimony to the efficacy of this valuable medicine, and strongly recommend it, to any fellow creature who may have the misfortune to suffer from the dreadful enemy— Gout. I am, Sir, yours, &c, Edwaed Pabkikson, Carpenter.
