They expect to arrive at Manukau early on Monday morning. The Wesleyan Conference continued its sittings to-day. The income of the Church Extension Fund for the past year was £1311, and the estimated expenditure for next year is £2000. Monday, Itis understood that Sir George Grey has invited William Hutchison, late Mayor of Wellington, to contest the seat to be vacated by Mr Bunny in Wairarapa. It is said that he would meet with the support of the local press and a large proportion of the electors about Greytown. A movement is being initiated to induce Sir George to contest the seat vacated by Mr Travers after his return from the Waikato. Mr Bright, who has been delivering several lectures here, lectured iu the theatre last night. The building was crammed. The Court of Appeal opened to-day. The Alhambra sailed for Nelson at 1 p.m. Passengers Mr and Mrs Davidson. 1-50 p.m. The weather is favorable, and the match was continued at 12-15. There was a meagre attendance on the ground. The Australians have scored 148 with the loss of seven wickets. The Wellington score was 91. Dunedin, Saturday. • Bishop Neville is said to be the purchaser of the Milton Pottery. During the week upwards of one hundred applicants for admission to Normal School being already over-crowded. Havelock, Monday. A quantity of salmon, brought from Wellington, were liberated successfully in the Waimakariri river. No fish died ou the journey.
