The Tarauaki leaves Dunedin at noou tomorrow for Northern ports. The Chares Edward leaves to-morrow morniug for the Coast via Motueka. The English ships Araby Maid and Rial to arrived at Wellington this morning. The Lyttel^on arrived at Wellington from Blenheim this morning. The Wallace arriyed at Greymouth yesterday. She will sail for Nelson via Westporfc to-morrow, weather permitting. The Murray left Westport for Nelson at noon to-day. She will arrive to-morrow morning, and sail for Wanganui at 7 p m. In consequence of the inclemency of the weather the departure of the Kennedy for "Wellington has been postponed until tomorrow morning at seven o'clock. The Graf ton made rather a lorig tiip to Westport, haying only arrived there at 11 am. to-day. The Lady Barkly made a trip to Motueka and back to-day. She will leave on her ■usual weekly trip to Golden Bay to-morrow. The Albambra arrived at the Bluff from Melbourne this morning. She will arrive here on Sunday, and sail for Melbourne via West Coast ports on Monday. The Luna having been barbound at Greymouth yesterday, her sailing from here for 'Wellington has been postponed until tomorrow evening. A large number of persous avalied themselves of the opportunity afforded by the steamer Wellington last evening to pay a visit to the Empire City, notwithstanding that there was every promise of a rough trip across. The steamer left the wharf about half -past eight, having been detained a short time to admit of her crossing the bar, on which there was a heavy 3ea rolling. There was the usual bustle and excitement incidental to a steamer leaving the wharf with excursionists. If we mistake not the ■steamer had a rough time of it off the Croixelles, where there is generally a nasty cross sea running when the wind is blowing from the N.W. The .Wellington took away one boat from Nelson; the Ada, which is intended to compete in the fi>3t class sailing race. She arrived at Wellington at half-past seven this morning, and leaves on the return trip at seven p.m. to-morrow. The Wellington will arrive here on Thursday morning, and sail for Picton and Wellington at 1 p.m., taking Sydney passengers to the Wakatipu, and Southern passengers to the Rotorua.
