Sydney, Thursday. The Premier has postponed further sales of Crown Lands, in order to give the Assembly an opportunity of deciding whether the system of auction sales should be stopped in six mouths.
The free selectors are petitioning for a remission of the interest on their purchases for the current year, on account of the drought. The Torres Straits mail arrived at Cooktown last night.
