The weather is unsettled. Expect strong northerly *, The cutter' Midge sailed for Waitapu last evening with a full cargo. The Albion leaves the Bluff for Melbourne to-morrow at noon. The Wallace left Waoganui for Nelson at noon to-day. She will sail for Wellington on Saturday. The -Murray /arrived at Wellington this morning, and will leave there for Nelson direct to-morrow. There were no arrivals to-day. Ouly, oue vessel— the schooner Awaroa— comes under the category of departures. The Wellington left New Plymouth at 8 o'clock this morning. She will arrive here about ten o'clock this evening, aucl sail for Picton, Wellington, and South by the same tide at 11 p.m. The Taranaki left Port Chalmers yesterday afternoon. She sails from Wellington at noon to-morrow, arid will arrive here early on Saturday morning, and leave at 3 o'clock the same afternoon for Taranaki and Mauukau. . i The schooner Awaroa sailed for Wanganui at an early hour this moruing. Favored by a good.S.W. wind she rattled along the Bank at a good pace, and no doubt succeeded in getting into the Straits before the sea breeze set in. The Luna, which sailed for West Coast ports on Tuesday evening, is. not yet telegraphed as having arrived at Westport. Probably, she has not been able to force a passage round the Spit against the strong S. W. winds which have prevailed lately, and has had to take refuge in some friendly Book. From Frenchman's Bay we learn that building operations in counectioii with the vessel being constructed there are progressing favorably. The whole of the timbers have been set up, and the work of planking her was to commence this week. |t will be about the middle of the year before she is xeady for launching. .
