The schooner Josephine, Captain O'Connel, left Wellington for Nelson on Saturday. The Kennedy left this afternoon for Wellington with excursionists.
The Charles Edward leaves Hokitika today for Nelson via intermediate ports. The Murray leavea Wellington this afternoon for Nelson via Picton, aud will sail for West Coast ports to-morrow at 6 p.m. The Lyttelton left Blenheim for Nelson to-day. She will return to that port on Wednesday evening.
The Wallace arrived from Wanganui this morning*, and will sail for the same port via Opuoake on Wednesday at 3 p.m. The steamera Kent and Somersetshire will on .their next trip to England go home by w%y of the Suez Canal.
The Albion did not leave Melbourne until Thursday last, and consequently will not be due on ths West Coast until this evening. The Taranaki leaves Onehuuga to-morrow, will arrive here on Thursday morning, and sail for Picton, Wellington, and South at 4 o'clock in the afternoon.
The Lady Barkly arrived this afternoon fron. her usual trip to Golden Ray. She will make an excursion trip from Motueka to Nelson to-morrow, leaving the former place at 7 a.m., aud Nelson on the return trip on Wednesday morning. The Wellington leaves Wellington to-night at 8 o'clock on an excursion trip to Nelson, will arrive here to-morrow morning, and sail again at 7.30 p.m. ou the return trip. She leaves Wellingtoa again on Thursday, will arrive here on Friday afternoon, and sail the same afternoon for Taranaki and Manukau.
The Luna arrived in harbor yesterday yesterday afternoon quite unexpectedly. She left Lyttelton at 4.30 p.m. on Friday, and reached Wellington at 1.15 p.m. on Saturday; .ailed at 2 a.m. yesterday, and arrived here at 2.30 p.m. She sailed for West Coast ports this afternoon.
The Alhambra arrived in harbor yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock. She left Melbourne on the 20th. and arrived at the Bluff on the 25th; called at Port Chalmers and Lyttelton, and reached Wellington at 10.30 a.m. on Saturday; left there at 4 a.m. yesterday, and arrived off the Lighthouse at 2.45 p.m., aud as she was rather too early for the tide, dodged about for an hour and then came into harbor. She sailed for Melbourne via Westport, Greymouth, and Hokitika this afternoon at _ o'clock.
The Alhambra and Luna had a bit of a spurt between Wellington and Nelson yesterday. The latter left the Empire City two hours in advance of the former, but the Melbourne boat overtook her near the Croixelles," and reached Nelson twenty minutes before her opponent. It can hardly be called a race, because neither boat exerted itself much. The Alhambra beat the Luna by about five hours between Lyttelton and Wellington.
