The Nelson Evening Mail. FRIDAY, DECEMBER 7, 1877.
A themendously heavy fall of rain occurred this morning about five o'clock, and lasted for nearly half an hour. We fear that it must have proved damaging to the hay that is out, without being sufficient to do much good to the growing crops. The panorama of the Franco-Prussian war will be exhibited at the Agricultural Hall, Richmond, this evening, and at the Choral Hall, Wakefield, to-morrow.
The nightmare is a horrible tormentor. To wake in the dead of the night, bathed in cold perspiration from some terrible dream, gives the nerves a shock from which it takes longer to recover than most people imagine. Many never sleep without disagreeable dreams.
