Sydney, Dec. 5. The Government were defeated hy a majority of one on tho amendment to the address in reply. The Ministry have resigned. The A.S.N. Company's steamer Florence Irving has sfcrauded off Port Stephen's. The crew and passengers, except one child, were saved. The fate of the steamer is doubtful. Arrived— Wakatipu aud Australia. The Easby arrived yesterday.
