In the event of theJWauaka arriving at the outer anchorage by eight or nine o'clock tonight the mails will be brought ashore and sorted at once, and the office will; be open for the delivery of letters for an hour.

We hear from Wellington that it is fully expected that the session will be brought to a close on Wednesday next. We nave to acknowledge the receipt from the publisher, Mr J. Furness, of the second number of the New Zeatander, which, in addition to other matter of a very readable character, contains the first part of a paper entitled " New Zealand History," compiled by Mr Alexander Maekay. The Wakapuaka cricketers came to signal grief yesterday in their contest with the College team, the latter scoring 84 and 122 to their opponents' 74 and 19, thus winning by 113 runs.

The Blue Jackets will attend divine service at the Presbyterian Church, the Rev P. Calder being their chaplain.

A corkespondent writes to us as follows:— " Several gentlemen who have received anonymous priuted documents under the heading of "Nelson Secular Society's Tracts," beg to state that they repudiate such a proceeding as being a personal insult to the receivers, who consider them only worthy of a silent contempt for the scandalous blasphemies which they contain, more especially as bringing a disgrace upon a community in which Christian charity is supposed to prevail. If these tracts contain the programme of the supporters of the secular system of education they certainly form one of the strongest possible arguments against that system." Tremendous failure, involving the loss of millions, often occur in the financial world. Far more deplorable failures often happen in the domain of medicine, patient 9 being sometimes made' the victims of mistaken treatment. But the record of the past does not disclose a single instance of failure to cure on the part of that supremely efficient remedy for kidney and bladder ailments, dyspepsia, undue nerve excitement, and general want of strength Udolpho Wolfe's Schiedam Abohatic Schnapps— [Advt]
