Wallace, for WeUington— 5 pkgs, Pole; 100 sacks malt, T. Harley; 2 pkgs, Budden; 1 box, Sproule; 56 bales wool, Edwards and Co. The schooner May is advertised to sail for Waitapu to-morrow evening. The barque Emma hauled alongside the Government Wharf this morning. The Wallace leaves Wellington for Nelson to-night. The Charles Edward is detained at Hokitika by a flood, but expects to get out to-morrow. The Lyttelton will leave for Blenheim tomorrow at 11 a.m., a.d the Kennedy for West Coast ports at noon. The next steamer for Taranaki and Manukau will be the Hawea, leaving here on Thursday next, the 22nd inst. The Maid of Italy has made a smart trip to Motaeka and back. She left here on Saturday afternoon and returned early this morning The Maori, which left here on Eriday, did not arrive at Westport until last night, showing that there must have been bad weather round the Spit. TJae Thanes, after a long speli in harbor got under way yesterday morning, and sailed for Pelorus Sound. She loads there with timber for some Southern porfc. The Arawata sailed with the Suez mail at 5.30 p.m. on Saturday, and arrived at Wellington early yesterday morning. She was to leave there for the South yesterday afternoon. The Awaroa arrived in harbor last evening, from Wanganui, with a load of cattle. She left here on Tuesday afternoon, and arrived at Wanganui nexfc morning; sailed on Saturday, and arrived here as above, having accomplished the all round trip in five days. Tte Ringaroo-na arrived at the Bluff with the Suez mail early yesterday morning, and sailed for Porfc Chalmers shortly afterwards, teaching there last evening. She will be due here on Thursday morning, and will leave again the same tide for Wellington, South, and Melbourne. The Union Company's s.s. Taranaki, Captain Malcolm, came into harbor afc 5.30 this morning. She left Onehunga at 5.30 p.m. on Saturday, and arrived off New Plymouth afc 5 a.m. yesterday; landed passengers and cargo and sailed for Nelson afc 10 a.m., arrived off the Lighthouse at midnight, too late for the tide, and she consequently came to an anchor, entering the harbor a3 above. Fine weat'ier was experienced throughout. The Taranaki sails for Picion, Wellington, and South at 5 p.m.
