Passengers: Misses Toonev, Stolle, Tukos, Harris, France, Waith, Mrs and Master Evans, Mrs Bird, Messrs Roe. Leadam, Andrews, and Coppins. — schooner May, 21, Westrupp, from Moutere. SAILED. Nov. 5, steamer Alhambra, 591, Muir, for Melbourne. Passenger* Mr Webb. — schooner Sisters, 16, Charles, for Motupipi. — cutter Planet, 15, Westrupp, for Motueka. The Albion left Hokitika this morning, having been unable to communicate with the shore. She will arrive here to-morrow morning, and sail for Melbourne and South at sis p.m. The schooner Sisters sailed for Motupipi this morning. The Lyttelton arrived at Kekerangu today, and will return to Wellington to-night. The Lochuagar has finished discharging the Nelson portion of her cargo, and is taking in ballast prior to her sailing for Napier. The May arrived from the Moutere this morning with a load of ballast for the Loohnagar. The Stella returned to Wellington on Sunday, after an unsuccessful search for the derelict schooner Clan Alpine. She spoke several vessels which had passed the spot where the schooner capsized, but nothing had been seen of the vessel, which is supposed to have sunk. The Wanaka met with a slight accident jnst before crossing the Manukau bar on Saturday, one of the blades of her propeller broke off short. She again had the misfortune to lose another about an hour after leaving here on Sunday evening. The Wanaka did not call at Pieton as it was blowing a gale from the N.W., and the weather being thick. The Wanaka is making good running, notwithstanding her mishap, she having arrived at Lyttelton this morning. She was to leave there on the return trip this afternoon, but it is probable that she will proceed to Port Cbaltners for the purpose of receiving a new propeller. The Wanganui Steam Navigation Company (says a contemporary) is being actively floated. The capital is to be £30,000, with which it is intended to purchase the St. Kilda, Wallabi, and Clyde, aud also to procure a new boat especially for the Wanganui trade. From a Dunedin firm an offer has been received to furnish a boat of the description specified for the sum of £9000. The new vessel is to be a screw boat of 150 tons register, draught 6ft 6in, and guarauteed to steam 13 knots. Messrs M'Meckan, Blackwood and Co.'s s.a. Alhambra, Captaiu Muir, arrived in harbor at 7 o'clock this morning. She left the Sandridge Railway Pier at 3 p.m. on the 24th ultimo, and reached Hobarton at 4 p.m. on the 26th; sailed on the 27th at 3 p.m.; experienced fine weather across the Middle G-ound, and arrived at the Bluff at 2.30 p.m. on the 31st; left at 6.30 p.m. same day, and arrived at Port Chalmers at 7 a.m. on the Ist instant; sailed at 3.40 p.m. on the 2nd for Lytteltou, and reached there at 12.30 p.m. next day; six hours afterwards saw her on the way to Wellington, where she arrived at 4.30 p in. on Sunday; left there at 5.30 p.m. yesterday, came round the Island, and arrived here as abovo. Fine weather was experienced to Lyttelton, thence strong head winds to Wellington, from which port to Nelson she had fine weather. Mr Birch, formerly of the Tararua, is purser of the Alhambra, aud it is to him we are indebted for the report. The Alhambra sailed for Melbourne aud West Coast ports shortly after nine o'clock.
