Size of the Diocese.

Our Diocesan organisation may be a little in advance of our work, but it is something in this country and colony to have an institution in which numbers are not the only thiug which counts, but a small IViocese., if it be but well administered, and # small band of Clergy, if devoted and exemplary, and a small band of Laity, if united and ready to co-operate, may exert a wide spread influence, and will be listened to, on account of the quality, though not perhaps in regard to the quantity or dimensions of the work done. Such a consideration can only have the effect of making us feel our shortcomings aud of infusin^ an earnest desire, that though a3 to magnitude our work may be on a small scale, yet it may become as to elliciency more like that we would desire to see it.
