COMMERCIAL.
There was a very numerous attendance at Messrs Patterson & Co's anction sale on Saturday, when a large quantity of goods were disposed of and satisfactory prices realised. Kerosene was quitted at 2s 2d to 2s 3d per gallon; flour, £18 per ton; potatoes, 36s per ton; bacon, 6>>d; hams, 7|d to 8d; fresh butter, 7d to 8d; bay gelding, £12; a spring cart was offered, but withdrawn at £18.
