The Lyttelton. sailed for Blenheim this morning. The Kennedy is detained at Westport, the Grey bar being reported impassable. The Claud Hamilton will leave Wellington for Nelson to-morrow morning at 6 o'clock. The Lady Barkly will sail for Golden Bay to-night: . The JRingarooma leaves Melbourne for the Bluff to-day. The schooner Tauranga has been detained by bad weather, but will probably get away this evening. The Maori leaves Port Chalmers to-mor-row on her periodical trip round the Middle Island. The Richard and Mary left Wellington for Nelson yesterday. She has on board a quantity .of railway iron. The schoouer Waitohi has been placed upon the JBoulder Bank for the purpose of being cleaned. The barque Helen Denny is loading at Napier for London. She is expected to sail in December. The Ch'arlea Edward started for West ports yesterday afternoon, but was . compelled by the gale that was blowing to return to port. She sailed again at 8 a.m. to-day. The Arawata arrived at Port Chalmers this morning. She will reach here early on Saturday morning, and is advertised to sail again for South and Melbourne at 7.30 a.m. The Nelson has not yet put in an appear- j ance. With the dirty weather last night Captain Robinson would not venture through the Pass, while the fact of the wind blowing from the S.VV". nearly all day accounts for her not showing up this afternoon. Notwithstanding the bad state of the weather yesterday afternoon, the Taranaki sailed for Northern ports. As there was a strong N-W. wind blowing it necessarily brought a good swell along with it, which was felt by the Taranaki, for when last seen she was diving into it at a great rate. Being a fine steamer with plenty of power she made good headway, and was soon out of sight.
