LETTER CARRIERS.
To thr Editor op the 'Evening Mail.' Sir—For more thau ten years there have been only two letter carriers from the Post Office, and during that time (of course) there has been a large increase to the population in Nelson. Without finding any fault with the postmen (who do work hard) I would suggest that an additional messenger be added, thereby affording to the public a more speedy receipt of their letters than at the present two men are able to perform. I think if this was attended to it would be a great boon, not only to the public, but also a great relief to the two men whose daily labor in and out of the Post-office is only known to themselves, for though the Post-office hours are from niue to five their attendance is often required long before and after these hours.—l aui, &c, Z. Nebon, October 8,1877.
