Torts at 2'30 p.m. The departure of the Kennedy for the West Coast has been postponed until tomorrow in consequence of the inclemency of the weather. For the same reason the sailing of the Wallace has also beeu put off until to-morrow. The Lyttelton left Blenheim for Nelson la3t evening, but had not put iu au appearance up to tue time of our going to press. The Taupo leaves Wellington to-morrow afternoon. She will arrive here ou Thursday morning, aud sail iu the af ternooa for Northern Torts. The next boat due here from Melbourne will be the Claud Hamilton which leaves that port for Hokitika to-day. The Albion has been put on the berth in place of the Tararua. She left Melbourne ior New Zealand via Hobaitou yesterday. The Awaroa hauled alongside the Melrose this morning for the purpose of receiving a quantity of coal. The departure of the Sappho has again been pm oif on account of the weather. She •will leave on the first indication of fine "weather setting in. The unsettled state of the weather for the last two days has interfered sadly with the shipping, there not being a siagle arrival or departure to-daj\ The Melrose was berthed alongside the Commercial Wharf yesterday afternoon. Regarding her passage down we learn from the log book that she left Newcastle with light easterly winds which ultimately veered round to the N.E. The wind blew from that quarter for two days, duriug woicu. time mueli rain fell. Light easterly winds were then met with, aud then a spell of doldrum weather, which lasted until the vessel sighted Cape Farewell ou Saturday last. The Melrose commenced discharging cargo into the Awaroa this morning.
