Kumara, Thursday. Ryan was brought up at the Police Court to-day charged with the murder of Daniels. He was remanded for a week. Bail was refused. Hokitika, Friday. Great dissatisfaction is expressed at the allotment of the Union shares. The allotment appears to have been made on no commercial basis. It will affect the future prospects of the company here. Thomas Ryan was brought before the magistrate charged with murder. He was remanded till Thursday. It is reported that the police have traced the watch of the murdered man to Ryan's possession. The case excites much interest.
