The schooner May, from Croixelles, brings a load of firewood. The Riugarooma leaves Melbourne for the Bluff to-morrow. The Kennedy will leave Wellington tonight, arrive to-morrow morning, and Sail for West Coast ports on Thursday. The Taranaki which left here on Saturday only arrived at Onehunga this morning, having no doubt been detained by the weather. The Hawea arrived at Wellington from Hcton at 10 a.m. to-day. She leaves for Lyttelton this afternoon. The steamer Lady Barkly sailed on her ■weekly trip to Motueka and Golden Bay this afternoon. The Esther, which was loading with timber at Waitapu when the Midge left, will leave there for Lyttelton about Friday next. The Dauntless arrived from Torrent Bay this morning with a load of stone for the harbor works. This is almost her last trip for stone for the above works. The Wanaka arrived in Wellington this morning. She leaves there to-morrow, will arrive here early on Thursday morning, and sail for Northern ports carrying the outgoing San Francisco mail in the afternoon. It having been decided by the Wreck Recovery Company to abandon the wreck of the Queen Bee, the services of the Waipara will be no longer required. She will therefore return to her head quarters, and is advertised to sail for Greymouth and Hokitika to-morrow night at five o'clock. We understand that a large quautity of cargo is awaiting the steamer at the former port for transhipment to Hokitika. With reference to the quick delivery of the Suez mail at Melbourne by the P. and O. steamer Tanjore, the Argus says that she gained a very high distinction by her performance on that occasion. She delivered the maii seven days ahead of contract time, and .during her passage from Galle averaged 310 miles per day, and once knocked off 350 miles. '
