Q.ENTLEMEN, — The Municipal 1 Corporations Act of 1876, compels me to ask, much sooner than I anticipated, a further mark of your favor. The shortness of my term of Office renders any allusion to ■ my representative services unnecessary, and I I oan only re-iterate the promises I made previous to my election, that in the event of .my return as one of your representatives, I . will to the best of my ability promote the prosperity of my fellow-townsmen, indepeni dently and impartially. I may say, also, ' that any works necessary for the Improvement of the sanitary condition of the town ■ will always receive mjr hearty support. ' The utilizition of any surplna material from the Gas-works in the improvement of the footpaths of the City is a subject that—if re-elected— l shall deem it my duty to bring . before the Council.
