The Christ Church choir will meet for practice this evening at eight o'clock. , The following telegram, dated London, September 4, appeared in, the Post of Thursday last r-r-Sulieman Bey has engaged the Russian force which is stationed on the Plevna arid Gabrova road. — There were 20,000 men on each side. —The Turks were repulsed with a losa of 2000.— The death of M. Thiers, at the present crisis in European affairs, is regarded as alarming and likely, to lead to grave complications. . A confirmation will be held by the Bishop of Nelson, in St. John's Church Wakefleld to-morrow afternoon. ;', A meeting of the members pf the Nelsou Agricultural Association; foi the purpose of making arrangements for the next Spring Show, will be held at the Richmond Institute this evening at 7 o'clock.
