The Zealandia -with the San Prancisco mail will be due at Auckland on Sunday, according to contract time, but it is quite possible that she may arrive a day or two earlier. The Wanaka left Picton this morning, "will arrive this evening, and sail for the North by the same tide. The Tararua arrived at the Bluff this morning from Melbourne. The Kingarooma has been detained on the New Zealand coast, and will not leave the Bluff until to-morrow. The Waipara was seen by the Wallace at daylight this morning steaming from TotaraBui towards the Spit end. Later in the day she was passed by the Kennedy lying at anchor in the vicinity of the wreck. From the fact of her coming out from Totaranui we infer that the weather must have been too tad at the Sandspit to admit of diving operations beiug carried on, and that the little steamer had therefore taken shelter in the above place. A topsail schooner has been signalled all day, but there being little or no wind she was unable to make the outer anchorage up to the time of our going to press. She will probably turn out to be the Awaroa from Wanganui. The Pearl sailed for Waitapu this mornThe unpropitious state of the weather yesterday had the eifect of stopping the discharging of the cargo of the Esther. Operations were resumed this morning, and !>y dinner time the brigautiue had a clean hold. The Dauntless arrived this morning from Torrent Bay with a load of stone for the fcarbor works. She left Onehuuga on Monday afternoon, and reached Tarauaki roadstead yesterday morning, landed passengers and cargo, and sailed for Nelson at 11 a.m., arriving here at an early hour this morning, and entering the harbor as above. Thick dirty weather was experienced ou the passage from Taranaki. The Taupo sailed for Southern Ports this afternoon. The p.s.
