The oven is made with a caae or jacket, and the heat from the flame over the roaster passes round the oven with a regular diffused heac, and the waste heat, after passing round the oven is brought in contact with the top hot plate, or under the saucepans on top so that all the heat from the gas ia used. The ridges on the hot plate are radiating from each burner on fche top, which causes .the flame to spread over fche of the bottoms of saucepans or kettles, and the burners are so constructel that no fat or water can drop into them— so objectionable in most ga* stoves.
