The quarterly CaLLle Fair will be held at Richmond to-morrow. Ten candidates have presented themselves for the nine vacancies in the City Council, the names being as follows .— E. Everett,- J. Webb, J. Hooper, R. Levien, R. Gray, F Pickering, T. Harley, J. Little, J. Tutty, and W. Bethwaite. The two last named are new candidates, the other eight having been members of the late Council. The polling will take place on Thursday, the 13th inst. The Nelson Amateur Dramatic Society will give their first entertainment at the Oddfellows' Hall to-night. The Committee wish it to be thoroughly understood that no money will be taken at the door, where admission can be secured by tickets only, to be obtained from those whoae names are mentioned iv the advertisement. A sitting of the Licensing Conrt was appointed to be held at Spring Grove to-day but owing to there not being a quorum of Commissioners present, it adjourned until this day week.
