MORE TURKISH SUCCESSES. HEAVY LOSSES ON BOTH SIDES. at , • , * Bombay, August 31. A lurkish force from Eski Djutna crossed the Loin near Jaslar, where the Russians were defeated and compelled to fall back from the Loin. The Turks from Rasgrad advauced north, but were repulsed, the Russians capturing two guns. A. great battle is imminent. The Turks have assumed the offensive along the whole line. September 1. Mehemet AH telegraphs that there had been nine hours' desperate fighting on the 30th at Kerrahasianler on the right bank of the Lorn. The place was taken and re-taken, and ultimately retained by the Turks. The Russians retreated in disorderj hotly pursued, and were compelled to abandon Hardaraghese. Their loss was 4000 men and immense booty. The Turkish loss was 3000.
