August 29, steamer Taupo, 461, Carey, from Picton and South — Passengers : Mrs Hollcrow, Messrs Harper, Orr, Fie'd, Bethel, Buchholz, Vickerman, Rombach, Taylor, Kelly, and Hendle. — cutter Three Brothers, 10, Westrupp, from Moutere. SAILED. August 29, ketch Prospect, 21, Westrupp, for Sandspit. — cutter Planet, 15, Westrupp, for Motueka. — schooner Kichard and Mary, 44, Moore, for Waitapu. 30, steamer Murray, 78, Conway, for West Coast — Passengers : Mesdames Davis arid Wilson, Messrs Taylor, White, Alexander, Kelly, Wilson, Murphy, and Theska.
The Murray left for West Coast ports this afternoon. The Wallace reports from Greymouth that the bar is still dangerous, although showing signs of improvement. The Lytteiton leaves Blenheim for Nelson to-day. The Ringarooma left Wellington at two o'clock this afternoon, will arrive here about eleven to-night, and is advertised to sail for Melbourne via the South to-morrow afternoon. The Albion arrived at Melbourne from New Zealand yesterday. The Prospect sailed last evening for the Sandspit. The Tararua saile I from Melbourne for Hobarton and New Zealand yesterday. The Hawea arrived afc Wellington early this morning, and leaves for Lytteiton this afternoon. The schooner Richard and Mary sailed for Waitapu last evening, where she will load With timber. A cutter, supposed to be the Dauntless from Sandspit, came up the Bay this afternoon, and came to an ;anchor outside the Boulder Bank. The Emily finished discharging coal this morning, and commenced taking in ballast. Her destination is Newcastle, whither she will sail about Saturday. The work of loading the Estelle is proceeding as fast as circumstances will permit, but a little time will elapse before the last piece ot timber is on board. The brigantine Esther left Lytteiton for Nelson yesterday with a cargo of produce. Being anything but a fast sailer her arrival may not be looked foi for a week at least. The Taupo arrived in harbor last evening shortly after ten o'clock, after a passage of seven hours and a half from Picton. She left Port Chalmers on August 14th, and proceeded as far as Wellington, thence steaming up the East Coast. She then returned to Wellington, leaving there for Northern Ports yesterday morniug. The Taupo sails for Taranaki and Manukau at 10 p.m.
