ODDFELLOWS HALL
To the Editor of the 'Evening Mail.' I Sie— As an Oddfellow way I, through | yonr columns, ask the support of the Kelson ■
public to the above. Surely it is high time that a new Hall was started as was evidenced by the crowded state of the present Hall last eveniug. I have ascertained that there are now only about 150 shares remaining to be taken up, ard it is confidently anticipated that a large portion of the proceeds obtaiued from entertainments, &c, will be set asid,e for the payments of interest upon the scrip. Trusting that the Nelson public will not allow another month to pass before the first stone is laid, of what will I feel quite sure (after an inspection of the plans &c) prove of great service in providing this " sleepy hollow" with accommodation for almost every kind of performance in the future. I am &c. Compressed. Nelson, August 22, 1877.
