August 16, steamer Wallace, 64, Dillon, for West Coast. — cutter Planet, 15, Westrupp, for Motueka. 17, steamer Albion, 592, Tozer, for Melbourne via South and Hobarton— Passengers: Mrs Jackson and 6 children, Messrs Jackson, Cother, Fox, and Helps. -— schooner Awaroa, 60, Greagar, for Wanganui. — cutter Midge, 16, Eure, for Waitapu.
The Murray aud Kennedy are still detained at Greymouth and Westport respectively. It is raining so harden Wellington to-day that the Lytteiton is unable to proceed with her loading, and consequently will not leave there uutil to-morrow uight. The Tararua arrived at Greymouth at noon to-day. The Wallace, after shipping the Charles Edward's passengers, mails, and cargo, sailed for West Coast ports last evening. The Wanaka arrived at New Plymouth from Neisou at 6-15 a.m. to-day. The cutter Midge sailed for Waitapu this afternoon. The Pearl left Wanganui this morning for Nelson with a cargo of sheep. The Lady Barkly arrived from her usual trip to Goldeu Bay last night. The Atlanta, Cora, Marion, and Onward are lying afc Totaranui, and wish fco be reported. The schooner Australian Maid arrived from the Tata Islands yesterday with a cargo of limestone for her, owners. The schooner Neisou left Wellington on Tuesday for Havelock, where she will load with timber for Lytteltoa. The signal, for a barque has been dying all the afternoon. As we do not know of any vessel of that rig expected, it is probably the barquentine Estelle, which left Wellington for Nelson on Tuesday last. The schooner Awaroa sailed for Wanganui this afternoon. With a good leading wind she made good progress along the Boulder Bank, and should be heard of at Wanganui to-morrow. The Awaroa takes a good cargo. The Albion discharged 132 tons of cargo yesterday, the greater portion of which was for the West Coast. The whole of ifc was landed in good time last evening, and a quantity shipped, and the Albion took her departure for South and Melbourne at two o'clock this morning.
