The following is the Agent-General's telegrams, dated London August 11 :— The Russians were" defeated with' great loss at Lovatz. It is reported that the Russians have been driven from the south of the Balkans, and are now holding only the Sbipka and Bos■••tengnco Passes. ' ■:**.*• V-•' * yv; ,* ' vy. The Russians ars in great force before -Plevna, aud the Roumanians rre crossing the , -Danube- to attack *the ' Turkish left if re..quired. .7.7..... 1. The Emperor has inspected the army of the Czarrwitch. The Servians are reported as preparing, -to renew afiensive operations against Turkey.
