The Luna, which left Greymouth at the same time as the Lyttelton, was passed by the Murray oif the Spit yesterday afternoon. The Lyttelton arrived from Greymouth yesterday with a cargo of coal. The schooner Awaroa sailed for Wanganui on Saturday evening, and was seen off Pepiu Island yesterday. In the face of the sea which .^as running yesterday, it is probable that .Captain Greagar did not venture across the Straits. There was a tremendously heavy sea on the bar this ; morning, caused by the strong N.W. ;isnd which was blowing last evening.
