The Sappho and Taranaki arrived at Wellington early this morning. The Lady Barkly will arrive from Motueka and Golden Bay to-night. The Taupo arrived at New Plymouth at 8 o'clock this morning. The schooner Richard and Mary sailed from Wellington last evening for Waitapu. The schooner which was signalled yesterday proved to be the Awaroa from Wanganui. She came into harbor last evening, aud wasmoored alongside the Commercial Wharf. Tha Awaroa brings a cargo of live stock The p.s. Wallace, Captain Dillon, left Nelson at 6 p.m. on the 30th ultimo for Wanganui, arriving there at 11 a.m. next day, towiug the .schooner Amaranth to the Corporation Wharf; experienced a strong S.E. wind with lumpy sea from Stephen's Island. Sailed for Nelson at 2 p.m. yesterday, and arrived alongside the Albion Wharf at 9 a,.m. to-day. Called at Rangitoto Station on the passage across, and landed cargo. The Wallace sails for Wellington at 8 p.ni". As the schooner Nelson was proceeding out of the harbor yesterday afternoon she touched on the ground. She was got off last evening, ahd placed on the hard, and an examination made of her bottom at low water this morning, when it was found that she had not sustained the slightest injury what--ever. The Nelson proceeded to sea this afternoon. The accident was caused by the wind falling light when the vessel was near the entrance to the harbor, thus causing her to lose steerage way, and as the tide was then on the ebb she touched on the ground. The master is completely exonerated from all blame in the matter. The Murray arrived in harbor at 11 -30 this morning from West Coast ports. She left Nelson on Friday last at noon, arriving at Westport on Saturday at 9-30 a.m.; left at II p.m. for Greymouth, crossing the bar on Sunday at 11*30 a.m.; left for Westport at 2-30 p.m. on Tuesday, arriving there at 1130 p.m.; sailed for Nelson at 12-30 p.m. yesterday,.and arrived here as above stated. About 8 o'clockf last night, when off fche Heaphy, (eight miles south of Rock's Point) she fell in with the steamer Lyttelton, burning a blue light as a Bignal for the Murray to come to her assistance, and on going alongside it was found that one of the firemen named Barnes had had one of his fiugers taken off by the machinery, and Captain Scott wished him taken back to Nelson. A boat was accordingly lowered, and the man Dlaced on board the Murray and brought on by her to Nelson. Messrs M'Meckan, Blackwood, and Co.'s s.s. Ringarooma, Captaiu Whitburn, carrying the inward Suez mail, arrived in harbor afc noon to-day. She left Sandridge Railway Pier afc 5:20 p.m. on fche 23rd ulfc.,and arrived off the Bluff afc 9-30 p.m. on the 27th. Capt. Thomson, the harbor master, boarded her and brought her up to the wharf, where she was-paoored at 10 p.m., after a rapid passage of 4 days 5 hours from wharf to wharf. Light N.W. winds and fine weather marked the 'passage throughout. Sailed from the Bluff afc 3 40 p.m. on the 28fch, and arrived at Port Chalmers at 1 p.m. on the 29th; left at .-45 p.m. on the 3oth, and arrived at Lyttelton at 8 a.m. on the 3 1st; sailed at 3-30 p.m. same day, and reached Wellington afc seven o'clock yesterday morning; landed 150 tons of cargo, and sailed for Nelson afc midnight; came through the French Pass afc 730 this morning, and arrived off the Lighthouse at 10-30, entering the harbor as above. The Ringarooma sailed for South and Melbourne at 2 p m., and will probably reach Wellington about- 11 o'clock to-night.
