July 17, ketch Standard, 10, Williams, for Marahau. — steamer Lady Barkly, 30, Walker) for Motueka and Golden Bay. — ketch Lily of the Wave, 10, Emms, for Marahau. 18, steamer Wanaka, 277, M'Gillivray, for Picton and Wellington — Passengers : Mesdames Sharp and Baigent, Messrs Tanner, Hursthouse, Parkes, Sharp, O. Curtis, Gibbs, J&aigent, and A. J. Richmond. The Murray arrived at Wellington this morning, will leave there to-night, arrive totnorrrow, and sail for West Coast ports at 4 p.m. The Wallace will sail for Wanganui at ten to-morrow morning. The steamer Yarra Yarra, whose loss was reported in our Monday's Australian telegrams, was a vessel of. 350 tons register, and the property of the Australian Steam Navigation Company. The City of San Francisco, which, we learn by our San Francisco mail telegrams, was lately wrecked on the Mexican coast, was a sister ship to the City of Sydney and City of New York. She is said to have cost £140,000. • j The Lady Barkly sailed for Motueka and Golden Bay last evening. 1 The cutter Maid of Italy arriyed from I Riwaka early this morning. 1 The schooner Awaroa sailed from Wanga- ■ nui for Nelson last evening. I Our Australian telegrams state that the I Union- Company have secured the contract 1 for conveying the Suez mails between Sydney i and New Caledonia. The terms, we underB stand, are £250 a montb, and the boat to be i employed is the Taiaroa, which has recently I been running between Dunedin and Timaru. 1 She is said to be extremely well fitted for h the purpose. i The Lyttelton left Blenheim for WellingH ton to-^lay. Had S.W. winds Band fine weather across, arriving afc the Bluff Bftt 1-30 p.m. on the 1 3th; sailed at 430 p.m., ■nnd reached Port Chalmers at 8 a.m. on the HgUth; left at 4-30 p.m., and arrived at Lyt■Helton at 11 am. on the 15th; sailed on the 886 th at 7 p.m., and arrived at Wellington at EBB, p.m. yesterday; left again afc 9 p.m., and Bwrrived here as above.
