The Wallace arrived from Wanganui this afternoon with a cargo of live stock. The Kennedy sailed for West Coast ports this morning with the San Francisco mail. The Murray sailed for Wellington at 8 30 this morning. The Albion arrived off Hokitika this morning, and as the bar was smooth she was, no doubt, tendered. She will arrive here tomorrow about midday, and probably sail for Southern Ports and Melbourne by the same tide 1 . The Charles-Edward arrived last evening in tow of the Kennedy aud Murray, aud was alongside the Government Wharf. The damage sustained by the engine is not very heavy, and ere long the favorite little steamer ■will resume her funning. The Wanaka left Wellington at 1 p.m. today, will arrive to-morrow, and return to the Empire City at noon. She leaves for Picfctm and on Thursday, and will arrive here on Friday, sailing the same day for -Taranaki and Manukau. The schooner May will be disposed of at auction by Mr Mabin to-morrow at Franzen's Wharf. The schooner Waitohai arrived from Havelock last evening. The Lady Barkly will sail on her usual weekly trip to Golden Bay this evening at 7 o'clock. The schooner Sisters sailed for Motupipi last evening. The schooner Reward will take her departure- for Picton to-morrow. She will load with.timber there for the Empire City. The Arawata left Melbourne yesterday afternoon, and will be due at the Bluff on Friday evening. The Ringarooma arrived at Melbourne from. New Zealand ports on Saturday. The sprung mizenmast was ta'cen out' of the Pearl this morning. A new one is in course of preparation, and will be shipped as soon as it i 3 ready. The Margaret Scollay did not call at the Croixelles as was intended, but proceeded to the "Sounds, where, according to latest accounts, dredging is beiug actively carried on. The Tasso was towed into harbor by the Lady. Barkly this afternoon, and berthed alongside the Commercial Wharf. Everything had been got in readiness for discharging, and as one day had been lost, the captain was reluctant to lose another, and before the Tasso had been alongside the. wharf many minute 3 the first basket of coal was landed. The Union Company's s.s. Tarauaki, Capt. Griffiths, carrying the inward San Francisco mail^arrived off the Lighthouse iast evening at 10*30, which fact was made known by the firing of her cannon. She left Onehunga at noon* on Sunday, and was off Taranaki at 4 (Lm. yesterday, but was unable to do anything before daylight, when she landed her passengers and cargo, and proceeded on to Nelson at-8-30, arriving here as above. The usual" fine weather prevailed throughout the passage. After landing the mail aud cargo, and taking in a few passengers, the Taranaki sailed for Southern Ports shortly after midnighti :
