The admirable fire of the artillery speedily made a breach in the walls, and the Turks fled! when the assault took place, leaving great numbers of dead. ! The Turkish commandant is to be tried hy Court Martial for not offering a better resistance. An encounter has taken place between a British gunboat and some Spanish smugglers at gamp Bay. The smugglers surrendered.
