The Murray arrived from Wellington ju3t as we were going to press. She waa detained 24 hours at Wellington by a heavy gale that ~ was blowing. She will leave fot West Oo^st porta to-morrow. ' ' i ' ; ] We are glad tof be able to' state that" the Wallace will be afloat this afternoon, and is expected to be berthed alongside the w&irf: at Greymouth tonight. The long delay in launching her has been occasioned by the exceptionally low tides that have prevailed. The Taranaki will leave Wellington tomorrow, arrive on Wednesday, and sail for the North the same night. TheJKennedy arrived at Hokitika yesterday, and will sail for Nelson via intermediate ports to-morrow morning. The Lyttelton is still at Blenheim, where she has been detained by the strong south-" easter^that has been blowing. . The cutter Maid of Italy arrived from SiwaKa thia morning. The-Bingarooma leaves the Bluff for MelIbourne to-morrow; The cutter Midge sailed for Waitapu last evenin"g.i. The. Eotoroa arrived at Sydney from New Zealand to-day. The'Lady Barkly made a trip to Motueka and back to-day. She leaves for Golden Bay to-morrow afternoon. The repairs to the Reward "will hardly be completed by dusk tbis evening, but to-mor- : row will see them finished. A new caboose,' which has been constructed, will be placed ou board to-morrow, and the " doctor " will he able to reign supreme once more. The vessel will bs painted all over afresh, and a start was made this morning to tar the Bottom. The schooner Awaroa was in sight at daylight yesterday morning, slowly making her way up the Bay with a light S.E. wind, which,, however, soon died away, and.the schooner was lef t. becalmed about eight miles from the Lighthouse. The Lady Barkly was despatched to tow her into harbor about 11 o'clock, and made fast to her charge about half -past twelve, arriving alongside the wharf about three o'clock. The Awaroa has made I a two days' passage from Wanganui, the absence of wind having kept her back. She is advertised to sail for Wanganui again to-morrow. The p.'s. Charles Edward arrived alongside the Albion Wharf at 5 o'clock this morning. She lefit Nelson on the 3rd instant at 4 p.m.; experienced fine weather and light variable winds «to Rock's Point, and from thence strong, S.W. wind, which continued until arrival at Westport at 2 p.m. on the 4th; left at 4 a.m. on the sth, and had variable winds with heavy S.W. swell to Hokitika, arriving there at, 3 p.m; same day; left again at 3:30 p.m. oa the 6th, and arrived at Greymouth at 6 p:m.; sailed on the 7th at 6 p.m., and arrived at Westport at 3*30 a.m. yesterday; left at 7*30 a.ni. on the same tide, aod arrived here aa above, having had fine Weather on the passage up. .
