The Albion arrived afc Melbourne from New Zealand yesterday. , , There was no appearance of the schooner Awaroa up to the time of our going to press. As there has been no wind all day, she could hardly have been expected, but she will probably show up before to-morrow morniog, as it is very seldom that the Awaroa takes over two days in making the run, The schooner Cleopatra, proceeded to sea at daylight; this morning,' and favored by a light land breeze made good progress along the Bank. The wind, however, did not last long,, and the -schooner h&a been knocking about in. the Bay all day. Her destination is the Pelorus Sound, where she will load with fcimber.forLyttelton. Ifc has been decided to repair the brig Albion, and tenders were sent in to-day for that* purpose; The repairs to be effected are necessarily of a heavy character, the vessel having been knocked about; considerably. Added to this the heavy deck cargo in -no way improved her condition, but strained her very much. It was at first thought that the brig was beyond repair r bufc after a careful overhaul it was was found f hafc she was nofc iso . bad as she looked, and ifc was determined tp have her repaired. It will be some time before, the Albion is ready fo& seat, The repairs to the schooner Reward are being effected a3 rapidly as. possible j and Monday next will .see the vessel out of the shipwrights' hands. The old companion, which had been knocked about a good deal, has lieen replaced, and the .cabin has been fitted up afresh. There is a little caulking to do about the covering board and companion, but this will not take very loug. The Reward is having almost a new fit out of sails, she having lost the best part of them during the heavy gale which she encountered off Hokitika. She will probably be ready for sea at the end of next week, j
