Secretary, ii_ writing to the Secretary -for-Pttbiur Works the" acceptance* of the £1,900 by the Board upon conta tion named, namely — that thtJYßoaVd undertakes to expend the same on the works-' abovementioned -i- also inform him that' tbe telegram of the 6th and the letter of the 9ih came by our weekly mail on the 13tb,, and that reply was forwarded by post to Foxhill telegraph station the sama'! day. A letter was read froth 'Mr D. Kerr, directing attention to the very bad state of the main South road. Resolved, That Mr Kerr •be informed that the repairs will be seen to as soon as possible.— Read a letter from the Motueka Board stating that it had no funds to make the road through Byrne's sections, Baton Valley, passable for carts, bat if this Board would pay oyer a fair proportion of the £300 received for tbat road, and the settlers interested an equivalent sum, it would reconsider the -natter.— Mr Griffith laid before the Board Mr Drummond's account for work doae on the Wangapeka Track amounting to £38 7e 6d, and certified ; ti»at work to that value h a d oeeQ duly performed.-— Resolved, That Mr Drnmmond's account be recommended to the favorable consideration of the Government.—Resolved, That tenders be in-
