June 5, steamer Murray, 78, Conway, from Wellington — Passengers : Messrs M'Gregor and Barstone. — • cutter Dauntless, 12, Brett, from Adele Island. — cutter Maid of Italy, 17, Clarke, from Riwaka. SAILED. June 4, schooner Waihopai, 45, Eeardon, lor Waitapu. 5, schooner Sisters, 15, Charles, for Motu- < pipi. — - steamer Lady Barkly, 30, Walker, for Motueka. — steamer Charles Edward, 125, Whitwell, for West Coast.
The Charles Edward sailed for West Coast ports this afternoon. The Ladybird leaves Wellington at noon to-morrow, will arrive here early on Thursday morning, and sail for Northern Porta in the afternoon. The Wellington arrived at Wellington from Picton this morning at 9 o'clock. The Lady Barkly sailed for Motuekaat noon to-day. She will return this afternoon, and sail for Waitapu direct at 7*30 a.m. on Thursday. The Ringarooma is making good progress along the coast. She arrived at Lyttelton thi3 morning, and leaves for Wellington this afternoon, so that she may be looked for here early on Thursday morning. The cutter Maid of Italy arrived this morning from Riwaka with a cargo of produce. - The cutter Midge will sail for Waitapu at high water this afternoon. The schooner Waihopai sailed for Waitapu at high water yesterday afternoon. She will load at that port with timber for Lyttelton. The schooner Sisters sailed for Motupipi this morning. The barque Chaudiere is rapidly loading at Wellington, and will sail for London about the end of the present month. The ship Margaret Galbraith is now about . half loaded, and the end of the month will see her a full ship. She -will then sail for London. The Tararua is telegraphed as having only arrived at Melbourne yesterday. She was advertised to leave there for New Zealand to-morrow, but being four days behind time in - her arrival it is very probable that her departure will be put off for a day or two. There are as yet no signs of the brig Transport, now overdue from Newcastle. The long spell of dirty weather which we have experienced here may have extended across to the Middle Ground, and if so has possibly had something to do with retarding the progress of the brig. She has on board a cargo of coal consigned to Mr J, S. Cross jun. The Anchor Line steamer Murray, Captain Conway, came into harbor at i % 30 p.m. today. She left Nelson at 830 p.m. on Saturday, called at Titerangu and Pig Island, and arrived at Wellington at 2-30 p.m. on Sunday; shipped a quantity of cargo, and sailed on the return trip at 1 1 o'clock last night, arriving here as above. Fine weather was experienced on the passage across. The Murray . was berthed alongside the Charles Edward, into which vessel she discharged some thirty tons of cargo for the West Coast. The Murray will sail for Wanganui at 8 p m. to-morrow.
