The Murray reports as follows from Grey- ' mouth :-." Blowing heavy westerly gale; I heavy freshet; tremendous sea;' Lyttelton outside." The departure of the Charles Edward for West Coast ports and the Wallace for Wanganui has been postponed on account of the weather until to-morrow, when the former will sail at 9 a.m., and the latter at 2 p.m. The Taupo reached Onehunga tbis morning, having passed New Plymouth without being able to communicate with the shore. The Wellington leaves Wellington this afternoon, will arrive to-morrow, and sail for the Nortb on Monday. The Kennedy leaves Wellington to-night, "will arrive to-morrow, and sail for West Coast ports on Monday. With the exception of the Lady Barkly, which sailed for Mo_ueka, there were no departures to-day, the appearance of the weather not yet being good enough to warrant the coasting vessels putting to sea. There are several coasting vessels now due from the Southern parts of the colony, which, no doubt, have been prevented from putting in an appearance by the boisterous state of the weather. They comprise the schooner Zior, which sailed from Timaru with a' cargo of harley for Messrs Hooper and Dodson on the 18th inst., schooner Waihopai from Lyttelton, schooner Richard and* Mary from Oamaru, and one or two others. The schooner Awaroa is also reported as having left Wanganui for this port on Thursday evening last. Since her arrival on the New Zealand coast the Albion has had to conteud with some dirty weather. She made Hokitika on Tuesday evening, but was unable to be tendered until next morning, and then only a portion of the West Coast cargo was landed, as it came on; to blow and a heavy swell set in, which necessitated the Albion clearing out, ard bringing on the remainder of the cargo to Nelson. On the passage from Greymouth to Nelson she experienced a heavy gale with high sea, which frequently broke on board, but without doing any damage. She, however, rolled terribly, and it wa3 a matter of the greatest difficulty to stand ou deck. Today the Albion discharged about 100 tons of cargo,' and will sail for Melbourne and Southern Ports this evening at. 7 o'clock.
