Frobably the weather has been so fine that she has been unable to get across the Middle Ground, and theC'fine weather passage which the Albion had on her. last run down leads to the ! inference that such is the case. y A letter ..from Captain Kane, of the schoorer M'Ddhald, dated Goree, west coast .of Africa, January 24th, says that on the outward passage from Boston he fell in with the wreck of the British bark Marie, having on board the two survivors of the crew of fourteen men, the- others having perished. The barque was bound from Doboy, Georgia, to Ireland. She sprung a leak in a gale, rerderirg.it impossible to save the provisions a' d fresh water. The crew began to die of starvaj'on. .As soon as one died the rest sub"_ ted upon his dead body, and so on until only two we 'c left. One of the survivors, I Ja-nes McLaughlin, belongs to Belfast, Ire-, lard, and' says' only small portions of the bodies could be eaten. No one was killed, brt tbe nioment o'ie died the survivors cut the throe t of deceased, and drank Jtlie blood, and then divided the heart and brains. It was thirty-two days from the time of the disaster linjjl the wreck was sighted, and during all that time the crew had not a drop of water^or other food than the bodies of their dead shipmates.
