The Charles Edward sailed for West Goast at 8-30 a.m. yesterday with the San Francisco mail, and arrived afc Wesfcporfc afc two o'clock this morning, after a fine run of 17. hours. The Murray arrived afc Wellington yesterday morning, and will sail for Nelson tomorrow night. The Lyttelton leaves Wellington for Blenheim to-nighfc. The Taupo will arrive from New Plymouth to-morrow morning, and sail for the South at 2 p.m. Messrs Shaw and Savill's ship Queen Bee was to- leave London for Nelson to-day. Among, her saloon passengers for Nelson are two families, one of them of the name of Gibbs, consisting of twelve individuals. Messrs Shaw and Savill's ship Adamant leaves Wellington for London to-morrow. The -Kennedy leaves Greymouth to-day for Nelson via Westport. The "Wellington leaves Wellington for Picton and Nelson at midnight. She will arrive to-morrow afternoon, and sail for the North by the same tide. The Tararua leaves Wellington to-morrow afternoon, mil arrive here on Wednesday morning, and sail for Melbourne via West Coast at 6 p.m. The Waifohai is on the Boulder Bank for the purpose of having her bottom cleaned and tarred. The Arawata was advertised to leave Melbourne for New Zealand to-day. The rship-Zealandia arrived at London from Wellington on the 4th of March. Dr. Booth, who came- out in the Caraperdown, went home in the Zealandia as surgeonsuperintendent. The p.s. Wallace, Captain Dillon, arrived here at 10-30 a.m. to-day. The Union, Company's s.s. Taranaki, Capt. Griffiths, ; with the inward San Francisco mail, arrived in harbor yesterday morning afc -3 o'clock. She left Onehunga afc 2-15 p.m-, on Thursday, and arrived off Taranaki at 6 am. oifFriday; r la.nded passengers and cargo,' and wasabout to sail for Nelson at 10 a.m., when a boat was seen coming off from the shore, which was the bearer of a telegram to Captain Griffiths, aunouueing the arrival of the San Francisco mail afc Auckland, and ordering jjinx to, return to Onehunga for the Southern 'portion. -A course was at once shapeCior.;' the- Manukau, and the. Taranaki arrived at the Heads there afc 8 p.m. She had to wait ;u ntil 2-30 next morning for the Tarn o' Sbanter coming off with the mails, and having shipped- them, proceeded on to New Plymouth, arriving there at I*3o p.m. same day; landed mails and passengers, and, after a short stay of 40 minutes, sailed for Nelsofl^arri ringherc as above. Experienced light N.E. winds to Taratiaki, thence light westerly .winds. The Taranaki beiug iu good fettle accomplished the distance from Manukau Heads to Nelsou, including detention in Taranaki, under 24 hours, which is allowed to be the fastest passage on record. She sailed for .Southern ports shortly after noon,. and arrived afc Wellington at 7 - 50 a.m. to-day. The Taranaki leaves that port this afternoon, and Captain Griffiths expects to be in Port Chalmers by noon on Wednesday.
