Messrs Sharp and Pickering report the sale of the. property belonging to .T. S. Cr verhill, Esq.,' known as Highfield, in the' Aruuri District, Province of Nelson, New Zealand, comprising 22,794 acres freehold aud 50,528 acres- leasehold, with 40,000 sheep (mixed ages atid ; sexes), 30 head of cattle, and 10 hordes.-?.. The' property . is situated on ; .the "Waiau (or Dillon) River, which separates it trotn Messrs Rhodes and Wilkin's St. Leonard's property. The purchasers of this valuable estate are Messrs Wharton and Hayter, of Nelson, and the price, paid was £63,000, ' Mr John R. Mabin reports the sale by auction to-day of the damaged portion of the cargo ex Argus, namely:— Potatoes, £3 per ton; wheat, 4s per bushel; flour, 12s 6d per 10'Olbs; bran, 5s per lOOlbs; barley, 3s 6d per bushel; oats, 2s.
